We offer the following American Heart Association courses:

  • Heartsaver® CPR AED- This course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and automated    external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Heartsaver® courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory

        (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be

        prepared for an emergency in any setting. After successfully completing this course, students should be             able to:

                 ~  describe how high-quality CPR improves survival

               ~  explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival

               ~  recognize when someone needs CPR

               ~  perform high-quality CPR for an adult, child or infant alone or as a team member during multi-                          rescuer CPR

               ~  give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a barrier device for all age groups

               ~  demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult, child or infant

               ~  describe when and how to help a choking adult, child or infant

  • Heartsaver® First Aid (with CPR/AED) - This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training   who needs a course completion card in CPR, AED and First Aid use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements or by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.  After    successfully completing the Heartsaver® First Aid (with CPR/AED) course, students should be able to:

                ~  list the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of the first aid rescuer

              ~  describe the key steps in first aid

              ~  describe the assessment of and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions:                              heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke

              ~  use an epinephrine pen

              ~  control bleeding 

              ~  recognize elements of common injuries and illnesses

              ~  plus all elements of the CPR/AED class described above

  • HeartCode® BLS - This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.  After successfully completing the BLS course, students should be able to:
           ~  describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival

              ~  describe all the steps of the Chain of Survival and apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival

              ~  recognize the signs of someone needing CPR

              ~  perform high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants

              ~  describe the importance of early AED use and demonstrate using one

              ~  provide effective ventilations with a barrier device

              ~  describe the importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and perform as an effective team                   ~  member during multi-rescuer CPR

              ~  describe the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and                             infants.

  • Online Renewal Classes - Print a certificate from an online AHA course and contact us to complete your skills testing and receive your certification card.  NOTE: total cost is greater than a classroom based course.

                                                            Healthcare Consulting:

   Heartfelt Safety Programs provides Healthcare Consulting to EEC licensed large group and school age

   childcare programs as required by 606 CMR 7.11 (19)(b).  

   A Healthcare Consultant agreement consists of:

  • Approval of the program's health care policy initially and at least upon renewal of the regular license 
  • Approval of any changes in the health care policy
  • Approval of staff training (CPR, First Aid & medication administration)  
  • Consultation as needed
